Welcome to the Miami Massage Championship 2025, where the world's top massage therapists showcase their skills. Open to both US and international practitioners, competitors may enter up to two categories.
Participants will be evaluated on technique precision, session flow, innovative approaches, ergonomic efficiency, and quality of client interaction, based on the standards of World Championship in Massage.
Official Categories, New Categories & Combination Opportunities
The 2025 championship introduces exciting new categories that showcase diverse massage disciplines. Competitors now have the freedom to combine multiple styles within competition rounds, creating unique therapeutic experiences that can earn additional points for innovation and creativity.
On an effort to simplify categories, this championship is
- Bringing together;
- Swedish and Wellness as "Spa" (Relaxing Massage, High Level Comfort, Holistic Massage)
- Thai and Eastern Freestyle as "Asian" (Thai, Tui Na, Ayurvedic, Reflexology, Shiatsu, etc)
- Western, Facial, Chair, as "Freestyle" (All Forms, Unique Treatments)
- "Sports" Massage remains the same. (with Pre, During, Post)
- And other NEW Categories
- "Clinical" (Not new in the US)
- NEW "Energy Healing Massage" - judged via questionnaire after session.
- Totaling 6 Categories, tool use is open for all categories.
Participation:
- Each Massage Therapist can participate in 1 or 2 categories
- Non-English speaking participants can bring their own translator for briefing speeches and general communication.
- Dress Code: Participants are allowed to wear personal sponsorship clothing or any other National suit that fits the category. Shoes are NOT mandatory.
- Participants are to bring their own sheets, towels, tools, etc.. (Bring enough for 2-3 rounds)
- The recipient of the massage must wear underwear at all times and have covered their chest (if she is a woman). Any area which is not being worked on is recommended to be covered/draped. Points are typically lost from exposing your client.
- Cameras are allowed, but please refrain from posting unflattering content of anyone.
- Insurance, feel free to insure yourself, but we are working on insuring the whole event.
- There is an absolute zero tolerance policy concerning inappropriate behavior. Any massage of sensual/sexual nature would result in immediate disqualification and expulsion from the Championship to protect receivers.
- All participants are required to receive massage, as well as giving massages. If necessary Miami Massage Championship will arrange for suitable candidates/massage recipients in particular cases.
- No chiropractic and osteopathic manipulations are allowed during the competition.
- The MiamiMassageChampionship will decide which music will be played during the World Championship in Massage. You are welcome to wear headphones if that helps your performance.
- No Online category.

You are free to record and have a photographer for your performance, as long as they stay away from Judges field of vision and judging area.
